Got to finish this lately. Sally is healed the background and flowers are freshly done
My love of geeky tattoos has been in full force again. After my latest buffy installment, I got to do an Illidan Stormrage Tattoo from World of Warcraft. I have to admit I dont know much about world of warcraft apart from the fact the South Park episode cracks me up. However the imagery is very nice and I got to do a really nice piece from it.
So today was a good day and I was allowed to release my inner buffy geek again. Today’s instalment was inspired from the Hush episode. It is based on the nursery rhyme for the Gentleman coming out of the gentlemans box that steals everyones’ voice.
And as I logged on to update this I discovered I have been mentioned in another geek blog for my last buffy tattoo. Check this out!
While tattooing this we did discuss a possible Faith tattoo so watch this space!
So today I received a tattoo machine I had custom built by Andy Dykes from Timeless Tradition Tattoo. I have always wanted an Alkaline Trio themed machine and so when Andy had made Adam a custom Hulk machine I knew he was the one to do this for me.
I was going to take a photo of my machine today and realised I was already a little trio top heavy when I looked at the photo I took and noticed my tattoo and tshirt in the photo
So with my day being trio themed I thought I would finally finish my Alkaline Trio flash sheet. Prints of this will be available to buy for £10. If you would like a copy please contact me via email.
So I had to rescue a tattoo today that was very poorly done elsewhere. I managed to salvage the tattoo as best I could and managed to give the customer the confidence to let people see her tattoo again.
If you have a tattoo that needs looking at you are more than welcome to get me to have a look at it to see if we can improve it or if necessary cover it.
We got a phone call to the studio this morning from a lovely lady called Maureen. She asked if there was any chance we could fit her in for a little tattoo. So as I was looking for the diary she went on to tell me how she was at the X Factor auditions and she got her wrist signed by Gary Barlow. Now if you know me you know I am a bit of a TV geek as well as a bit of a Take That fan on the sly so I was fitting this tattoo in one way or an other.
So when Maureen arrived late on this afternoon, I had to carefully clean her wrist hoping I didnt rub the signature off totally. And then I got to work tattooing the signature while being videoed as it turned out that this was part of a follow up piece as Maureen won a competition to meet Gary. So you never know yours truly might end up on X Factor, how funny would that be.
So here are the photos of the tattoo and one of Maureen and Gary.
If you would like a tattoo from me, this is how you can get one.
I tattoo everything from names on the wrist, to full one off back pieces so please don’t be scared to ask me for certain things as I welcome most things. Although I do reserve the right to refuse to do tattoos which I think are offensive or are wrong for the customer.
It is very difficult to quote prices on any tattoo as size and placement matter so asking over the internet or phone is pretty much impossible so the best thing to do is to come into the studio as this will enable me to give you an accurate price. Tattoos start at £30 and I charge £70 per hour for larger session work. We also have set prices on half and full day sessions please ask on booking in.
If you would like me to draw you a one off custom design I am more than happy to do this for you just drop in the studio. If it is a larger piece or a cover up you can contact me via email sharron@northernsoultattoo.co.uk with brief details of what you are after and I can arrange getting you in for a consultation at the studio so I can discuss your tattoo in detail. If you are then happy with what has been discussed I will require a deposit for your first sitting as designing a tattoo takes time and I need to know you are committed to getting a tattoo and I am not wasting time I could be spending on another customer.
We have thousands of designs in the studio for you to choose from, if you have reference bring that into the studio as a guide to what you are looking for. Please note, if you bring a photo of another tattoo it will not be copied as that is someone else’s work but we can use it as a great jumping off point to get you a design that is of a similar theme.
We are open 11am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. You are always welcome to the studio to have a look at designs etc.
When you have chosen your design you will need a deposit of either £20 or £50 depending on the size of your tattoo. This deposit is non-refundable and will be kept if you do not turn up for your appointment. You will have the chance to change your appointment once with a weeks notice without losing your deposit. This may sound harsh to you but if you do not turn up I do not get paid so we both lose out.
So contact me via email or the studio and bring your ideas no matter how big or small and get yourself a new tattoo. I look forward to seeing you.
