Due to the fact that there as nothing better on telly the other night I ended up watching a program on BBC4 about DNA and how they are experimenting with it. This included how they has found the individual gene for developing the eye. So they then got the eye gene from a red eyed mouse and injected it into the embryo of a fruit fly. The outcome was terrifying.
This fruit fly has 8 red eyes all over its body some fly shaped eyes, some mouse eyes. IT COULD SEE OUT OF ALL OF THEM.
So with that in mind I painted this. Its 6″x4″ in acrylic and is available for sale or trade. Enjoy!
I have been trying to get some photos of my work after it has healed so you can see the actual finished tattoo. These photos will be straight from the camera so you can see it as is. I will update this regularly as and when I get customers in. So with that in mind here is a couple for you to look at.
So this week I have completed the third session on the massive tribal/tiger/dragon cover up I have been working on. This photo shows the blue flower which is now healed and the latest colour in the red flower and some of the leaves. The last session has been booked in so we can finish off the full piece.
I have been trying a couple of different paint mediums lately and I finally tried Liquid Acrylics last night after yet another shopping trip to Hobbycraft.
So here you go, my first attempt at using them I think I am going to get on with these.
One of my lovely regulars Sarah, asked me if I could do a tattoo of her rat Rupert in a rose. So after looking through a load of photos I kept coming back to the one where he actually had a party hat on. It was shouting out to be used so I completed the painting for her and here it is.
PLEASE DO NOT COPY AS THIS IS A CUSTOM PIECE AND THERE IS ONLY ONE RAT THAT WORE A PARTY HAT AND THAT WAS RUPERT!
I managed to start painting out my Alkaline Trio flash sheet last night. Below is the progress I made, with out the use of a full set of paint brushes, due to me leaving them in the studio over the weekend. Looking forward to getting it all finished!
I will be out of the studio Friday and Saturday as I am working Manchester Tattoo Convention over the weekend. Check out the link and if you are attending drop by the booth and say hi.
So after weeks of waiting I finally got to tattoo my first of a set of jelly babies on one of my lovely regular customers Zoe! You know its a good day when your tattoo is making you smile as you are doing it. We will be completing another Jelly Baby at the Manchester Tattoo Convention in March. So here it is pink jelly baby!
And to top it all off Zoe gave me a couple of Jelly Baby necklaces she made from her Fyrefly Gems Jewellery Range!
Go team Jelly Baby!
I was looking through a google image search yesterday and came across one of my tattoos on a fashion website Stylesighting blog. After enquiring to where the photo was taken it turns out that it was photographed at Parisian music festival Rock en Seine in August 2010.
So here you go one of my tattoos on a jolly holiday to Paris.
Enjoyed doing this one today, the cards are taken from the cards he bought back from Las Vegas. We were talking about Las Vegas and all the fun it entails and it only made my mind up that I will be booking us a holiday to Vegas again this year! If you haven’t been you should go as it is amazing! I did however cause a bit of a problem for the lad as his girlfriend is now demanding to know what DID happen in Vegas….. I’m staying well clear of that one.
Here are a couple of tattoos I have on going at the minute. The first is a crazy combination of a Chinese warrior princess backed up by the terracotta army. This work is still ongoing but I thought I would let you see how it is coming along.
The next piece is part of a Japanese sleeve I am working on. The dragon will eventually have windbars, clouds and cherry blossom as its background and will green in colour. I am looking forward to finishing this one too.
